Fulfilling Educational Kits to Students

THE STORY

One of Pennsylvania’s most significant cyber charter schools faced challenges with its educational materials partner. They needed more flexibility, product breadth, and a better student experience, so they turned to Logistics Plus (LP) to achieve their goals.

THE HIGHLIGHTS

• Logistics Plus was tasked with handling the sourcing, kitting, and distribution of all student and teacher materials (over 300 unique products).
• Logistics Plus completes demand forecasting to determine what products need sourced and how many kits will be created and distributed.
• Educational materials are sent to the Logistics Plus fulfillment center in Erie, PA, where they are inspected, sorted, and received into LP’s warehouse management system (WMS).
• When all necessary materials are received, the Logistics Plus fulfillment team kits the items together into a production batch.
• Each of the past three years, roughly 25,000 educational kits have been successfully created and shipped to the school’s students and teachers nationwide.
