North American Tablet Fulfillment

THE STORY

When one of the top food ordering companies needed to expedite the configuration and fulfillment of tablets to thousands of drivers across North America, they called Logistics Plus. Within two days of the phone call, Logistics Plus created a configuration center with 14 fully staffed workstations to accommodate the project. On the first day, Logistics Plus fulfilled 450 tablets across the U.S., and the following week, it scaled to ship another 1,500+ tablets per day on an ongoing basis to points in the U.S. and Canada.

THE HIGHLIGHTS

• The client contacted Logistics Plus (LP) on a Tuesday about expediting a tablet fulfillment program. LP picked up 6,000 tablets on Wednesday. Two days later, LP had created a configuration center with 14 fully staffed workstations to begin receiving, programming, packing, and fulfilling the tablets.
• On the first day, less than a week later, LP shipped over 450 configured tablets to drivers across the U.S. The following week, LP scaled operations to ship another 1,500-1,700 tablets daily.
• During its second full week on the project, LP was asked to add Canada deployments due to the added complexity of customs processing.
• LP expedited a full truck of tablets to its warehouse in Canada that same night. Within 72 hours, LP deployed all 5,000 tablets across Canada.
• LP continues to staff its configuration center flexibly to support ongoing deployments across North America.
