New update:
TL;DR 👉 CBP will host 2 webinars on IEEPA refunds on Thursday and Friday this week. More information can be found below directly from CBP 👇
U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) Office of Trade is hosting two webinars on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. ET and Friday, April 17, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. ET titled “IEEPA Duty Refunds.”
On Friday, April 10, 2026, CBP issued guidance about the upcoming Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) deployment to launch the process to request refunds for duties imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA):
https://www.cbp.gov/trade/programs-administration/trade-remedies/ieepa-duty-refunds. This webinar will review the process under the ACE Consolidated Administration and Processing of Entries (CAPE), from submission of the CAPE Declaration to issuance of an IEEPA refund.
Registration links for these webinars are provided below. PLEASE ONLY REGISTER FOR (1) WEBINAR. THE SAME CONTENT WILL BE SHARED AT BOTH. All registrants will receive the access link for the webinar on the day of the event, but entry into the webinar is on a first-come, first-served basis as seats are limited. After the live event, this and other previously recorded webinars will be available for replay at Trade Outreach Webinars | U.S. Customs and Border Protection (cbp.gov).

The refund process is greatly simplified, but a significant concern remains that all entries submitted for refund will go through CBP review, and some will be picked up for a full-blown audit. Our guidance remains the same:
- Track your liquidations dates
- Ensure that all entries that are eligible for IEEPA refunds are correct and fully compliant, so that you do not expose yourself to actions from the CBP audits
As always, Logistics Plus is here to provide guidance and support.
