The Logistics Plus (LP) Malaysia team successfully transported a boom, stick, and bucket from Johor, Malaysia, to Derince, Turkey. The LP Malaysia team was responsible for loading the cargo at the shipper’s factory, trucking it to Singapore, handling the customs clearance, and transferring it onto the ocean vessel.
In total, the gross weight of the shipment was 23,335 KG, and the three pieces of cargo measured 1488 x 156 x 279 cm, 1210 x 80 x 173 cm, and 210 x 154 x 167 cm. The volume of the shipment was 81.907 cubic meters.
The Logistics Plus (LP) Thailand team successfully transported two catamarans from Laem Chabang, Thailand, to Koror, Palau. At the start of the project, the LP Thailand team struggled to find a carrier that would accept the overlength and over-dimensional catamarans (12.22 L x 3.31 W x 4.21 H meters). The carriers didn’t understand that the bow (front of the boat) was curved, allowing the ISO lifting points to be clear for lifting without touching the catamarans.
After the LP Thailand team presented their idea to the client and shipping lines, the catamarans were approved to move on flat racks. A supervisor was on-site at each location to monitor the loading and discharge of the catamarans.
The Logistics Plus (LP) Malaysia team successfully handled a project shipment initiated by the Logistics Plus USA Project Cargo team. The tanks each weighed 46.227 tons and measured 21.430 m (more than 60 feet) long. In total, the combined weight was 93.26 tons with a volume of 668.62 CBM. The LP Malaysia team used a 7-axle heavy-duty hydraulic trailer to transport the cargo.
LP Malaysia Country Manager Kelvin Teng commented on the project: “This project showed the importance of trust and teamwork. Our team worked very closely with the LP USA Project Cargo team, and we’d like to thank them for their support and guidance in making this happen.”
The Logistics Plus Project Cargo team has successfully completed another project, delivering an absorption tower from Turkey to Finland. The cargo was trucked from the factory to the port in Turkey, loaded onto a vessel, and discharged at the port in Finland, where it was delivered to the destination.
