A Smooth Catamaran Transfer in Thailand

A Logistics Plus® Supply Chain Success Story!

Heavy Lift to High Tide: A Smooth Catamaran Transfer in Thailand

THE STORY

When an international client needed to deliver a large catamaran from a container vessel at Laem Chabang Port in Thailand to its final floating destination 12 hours away, the Logistics Plus Thailand Yacht & Commercial Craft Logistics team stepped in. The operation required unloading the craft from a container ship, transferring it onto a hydraulic trailer for land transport, and then placing it onto a floating crane/barge for the final water‑lowering—an integration of heavy‑lift, land‑transport, and marine operations, all executed seamlessly by Logistics Plus.

THE HIGHLIGHTS

  • Intermodal Transfer Expertise: The team discharged the catamaran from the container vessel, loaded it onto a hydraulic trailer, and expertly transported it overland from Laem Chabang.
  • Marine Lift & Barge Deployment: On arrival at the water staging location, LP coordinated the loading of the catamaran onto a floating crane/barge and safely lowered it into the sea—completing the final leg of the journey.
  • EndtoEnd Precision Execution: From port discharge to hydraulic trailer transit and marine placement, LP Thailand managed the full logistics chain with precision timing and professional handling.
  • Team Capability & Client Confidence: By delivering a complex multi‑mode project flawlessly, LP Thailand strengthened the client’s trust, showcasing the team’s reliability and specialized capability in marine‑heavy transport.
