LP Saudi Arabia Assists With Oil Refinery Project

LP Saudi Arabia Assists With Oil Refinery Project

The Logistics Plus Saudi Arabia team successfully handled a break bulk shipment from the Czech Republic to Saudi Arabia. The shipment moved on a door-to-door basis from the supplier in the Czech Republic to an oil refinery plant in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The two crates, weighing a combined 71 tons, were transported on a RORO vessel to Jeddah. Upon arrival at the port, the team cleared customs and loaded them on a truck for final delivery.

Logistics Plus Saudi Arabia Country Head Nizam Mohammad commented on the project. “Our team was able to execute every leg of this project successfully. The pickup, loading, customs, and delivery of the shipment all went smoothly. I want to thank our team and partners for their support.”

LP Belgium Transports Modular Vaccine Manufacturing Facility

LP Belgium Transports Modular Vaccine Manufacturing Facility

The Logistics Plus Belgium team successfully transported a fully functional modular vaccine manufacturing facility from Belgium to West Africa. Our team first arranged and supervised the handling of the modules upon arrival in Zeebrugge, Belgium. The Belgium team then transferred the modules to Antwerp for loading onto the vessel to Senegal, West Africa. Due to the sensitivity of the modules, the shipment had specific requirements that had to be met.

Although Logistics Plus played a small role in the overall process, we are happy to be doing our part to get the facility up and running. The vaccine manufacturing facility will produce up to 300 million COVID-19 doses annually. Logistics Plus Global Project Manager Frederik Geirnaert commented on this project. “I’m so proud that our team could assist with a project of this magnitude. The opening of this vaccine manufacturing facility will positively impact millions of lives in Africa.”

Naval Warship Engines On The Move

navy enginesThe Logistics Plus Project Cargo team successfully transported several Naval warship engines for the ESB and T-AO programs. The two programs vary based on the type of warship and their purpose. The T-AO fleet involves large oilers, while the ESB program involves landing platform vessels. More details about each program are listed below.

ESB Program

  • As part of a recent government contract, the U.S. Navy added a third ship to be constructed and configured as an Expeditionary Sea Base (ESB).
  • ESB bases are highly flexible platforms that can be employed across a broad range of military operations.
  • ESB engines weigh roughly 250,000 lbs. each.
