As reported across various news outlets this weekend, Logistics Plus (LP) has helped found a non-profit organization called Erie’s Station Square Ltd. to rejuvenate the area around Erie’s historic Union Station and Griswold Park. Logistics Plus is making the initial $100,000 investment in the improvements to the Station Square District. Other businesses supporting the project include Great Lakes Insurance, Kellar’s Magic and Comedy Club, Rick Griffith Properties, The Brewerie at Union Station, and Lilly Broadcasting. Logistics Plus originally began bringing new life to the area when it acquired and renovated Erie’s dilapidated historic Union Station back in 2003 and made it its global headquarters for the years to come. Today, over 100 Logistics Plus employees work at Union Station, and it is the home to multiple other businesses, including Erie’s first micro-brewery.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Logistics Plus Acquires Rights to www.logisticsplus.com Domain
The company’s website can now be found online at either www.logisticsplus.com or www.logisticsplus.com.
ERIE, PA (September 15, 2020) – Logistics Plus Inc., a leading worldwide provider of transportation, logistics, and supply chain solutions, reports that it has acquired the lawful rights to the www.logisticsplus.com domain name. In accordance with ICANN’s Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy, a formal “Logistics Plus, Inc. v. Silverman, Jay” Complaint was filed on July 8, 2020. A three-person panel appointed by the FORUM, a third-party arbitration service, on August 18, 2020, made the decision that Logistics Plus should rightfully be awarded the www.logisticsplus.com domain name.

The company expects to migrate its primary URL and all email addresses to the www.logisticsplus.com domain in the near future.
“We are pleased with the FORUM’s decision,” said Scott Frederick, Vice President of Marketing for Logistics Plus. “As the rightful owners of the Logistics Plus name and marks, and after years of unsuccessful good-faith negotiations, we filed a formal complaint because we felt strongly that we should own the rights to both the dot net and dot com domain name variations of our trademarked name. It’s unclear how many people tried and failed to find us over the years through the dot com extension, but I am delighted they will be able to find us now.”

Yuriy Ostapyak Appointed COO of Logistics Plus Inc.
The announcement was made by Logistics Plus Founder & CEO Jim Berlin earlier this week.
ERIE, PA (August 6, 2020) – Logistics Plus Inc., a leading worldwide provider of transportation, logistics, and supply chain solutions, is proud to announce that Yuriy Ostapyak has been formally named as the company’s Chief Operations Officer (COO) in addition to his responsibilities as Director of Global Operations.
“I’m naming Yuriy our COO because it’s a role he has largely played for the past few years anyway,” said Jim Berlin, Founder and CEO of Logistics Plus. “It makes it easier for anyone involved in any of our widely varied operations worldwide to know who to go to for direction on any of our many, many projects. If it’s part of LP’s operations, Yuriy will be the guy. It’s a well-deserved new title and a clear recognition of the key role he is playing, and has been playing, in our global growth in yet another record year.”
Yuriy joined Logistics Plus in 2005. He earned his B.A. in International Business and Marketing from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2004 and, subsequently, a master’s degree in International Economics from the Kyiv National Economic University. In his time at Logistics Plus, Yuriy has played a key role in closing complex acquisitions, negotiating terms, financial conditions, and third-party financing. He has a consistent track record of delivering positive results to complex customers and business units by identifying and resolving complex issues that reduce cost, uncover waste, and drive profitability and effectiveness.
Berlin added, “Please join me in congratulating Yuriy as we look forward to his – and LP’s – continued evolution and leadership. Very cool!”
