Logistics Plus Named a Best Medium-Sized Workplace by Great Place to Work® and FORTUNE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Logistics Plus Named a Best Medium-Sized Workplace
by Great Place to Work® and FORTUNE

Logistics Plus ranked #54 among the top 100 on the annual list presented by Fortune Media.

gptw_small_mediumERIE, PA (October 17, 2019) – Logistics Plus Inc., a leading worldwide provider of transportation, logistics and supply chain solutions, is proud to announce that it has been honored by Great Place to Work, the global authority on workplace culture, and FORTUNE as a 2019 Best Medium Workplace for companies with 100 to 999 employees.

To determine the 2019 Best Small and Medium Workplaces lists, Great Place to Work® analyzed anonymous survey feedback representing more than 189,000 employees at Great Place to Work-Certified™ organizations. Employees responded to more than 60 survey questions anonymously rating their employers. Logistics Plus took the number 54 spot on the top 100 list for medium-sized workplaces.

To be considered, companies had to meet the Great Place to Work-Certified standard. To ensure survey results truly represent all employees, Great Place to Work requires that Trust Index© survey results are accurate to a 95% confidence level with a 5% margin of error or better. It reviews any anomalies in survey responses, news and financial performance to ensure there aren’t any extraordinary reasons to believe a company’s survey results couldn’t be trusted. Companies with 10 to 99 people were considered for the small list; companies with 100 to 999 employees – such as Logistics Plus – were considered for the medium list.

Jim-Berlin-Audio-Icon2“We are honored to be recognized as a best medium-sized workplace,” said Jim Berlin, founder and CEO of Logistics Plus. “We’re grown a lot, and we’ve hired a lot of new people the past couple years. I am so proud of how our employees have embraced our fun, yet challenging, work culture as shown by the Great Place to Work survey results. Our folks work hard, work late when needed, they’re learning new things, and taking on new responsibilities. I’ve been more than pleased with the workforce we’ve attracted here in Erie, Pennsylvania and at our other offices around the world.”

Logistics Plus Named to Global Trade Magazine’s Top 50 3PLs List

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Logistics Plus Named to Global Trade Magazine’s Top 50 3PLs List for 2019

Announcement featured in the September/October 2019 issue of Global Trade Magazine.

2019 Top 3PL MedallionERIE, PA. (September 5, 2019) – Logistics Plus Inc., a leading worldwide provider of transportation, logistics and supply chain solutions, is proud to announce it has been named by Global Trade Magazine as a “Fabulous Fifty” 3PL: One of America’s Top 50 Third-Party Logistics Providers for 2019.

According to the magazine, getting products from point A to point B isn’t as easy as it seems. A third-party logistics (or 3PL) provider handles supply chain management logistics, a service that can include transportation, warehousing and delivery, but may also incorporate additional value-added services such as production or procurement. Since logistics is not a core business for many entities involved in global trade, the ability to turn these responsibilities over to a qualified 3pl provider – like Logistics Plus — allows companies to spend less time focusing on these tasks, and more time on the elements that made their respective businesses a success.

“We like growth, challenges, and finding new people and new places in the U.S. and around the world to do our thing, so it’s great to be recognized by a reputable source like Global Trade Magazine,” said Jim Berlin, founder and CEO of Logistics Plus. “In our business, you still have to move stuff and deliver products on-time, in good shape and at a fair price, but now you have to also provide value-added services like warehousing, business intelligence, reporting, and even expertise on things like customs clearance and global trade compliance. That’s what we call putting the ‘plus’ in logistics. Being able to do all of that, and do it effectively, has allowed us to get our foot in the door with some big-name companies and helped us earn this type of leading 3PL recognition.”

“Our whole company is predicated on growth,” said Jim Berlin, founder and CEO of Logistics Plus. “For an established, 23-year old company to more than double in size the past two years is pretty incredible.
