A lot has changed in the world of global trade in recent months. The U.S. federal government has implemented new IEEPA and reciprocal tariffs this year, while Section 301 tariffs on China remain in effect alongside updates to the existing Section 232 steel and aluminum tariffs. U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is conducting more container inspections at U.S. ports of entry and issuing a record number of CF28 and CF29 requests to importers. Globally, Customs authorities are placing greater scrutiny on correct HTS code classification. On the export side, U.S. government agencies continue to rigorously enforce export laws and issue penalties for violations on a daily basis.

After nearly six months of operations, LP Aero welcomes Michael Goodisman as the Business Development Director of Air Chartering. With over 20 years of experience delivering project cargo worldwide, Michael brings outstanding skills and knowledge to LP Aero’s service offerings.
Michael is a recognized professional in air chartering for oversized and heavy cargo projects, government operations, aerospace, oil & gas, and power generation industries. Logistics Plus Expands Global Presence with New Offices in Brazil
The new South American division will provide global logistics and trucking solutions.
ERIE, PA (August 22, 2023) – Logistics Plus, Inc. (LP), a leading worldwide provider of transportation, logistics, and supply chain solutions, is pleased to formally announce the opening of new offices in Brazil. As part of the Logistics Plus® network, “LP Brasil” will provide domestic and international trucking and truck management solutions, air and ocean freight forwarding, project cargo logistics, customs clearance, IOR/EOR, trade compliance, and other 3PL/4PL supply chain solutions. The office began operations earlier this year.
LP Brasil is based in São Paulo with over forty employees and is managed by Frederico Resende. Its trucking operations provide full truckload and less-than-truckload services between Brazil and key cities in surrounding countries, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Perú. LP Brasil will also serve as a critical hub for Logistics Plus customers needing import, export, or project cargo logistics in central South America.
