At Logistics Plus, Community Matters

29_Erie Times-News__Lake Erie Lifestyle__4_96Logistics Plus appeared, again, in today’s August edition of Lake Erie Lifestyles magazine, a monthly publication circulated by Erie Times-News and GoErie.com. The theme of the entire issue is “community” and “giving back”  – two concepts shared by the employees of Logistics Plus. As owner and CEO, Jim Berlin, says on page 5 of the magazine, “I’ve always found that people here are eager to give back if given the opportunity. I appreciate that about our team and want to give them as many opportunities as I can to contribute to this community that we all care about so much.” A reprint of the story is shown below (and will later appear online at www.goerie.com/lifestyle/lake-erie-lifestyle.

2018 Best of Varsity Cup Awards Event Video & Photographs

Last night, Logistics Plus joined Erie Times-News, and many others, to celebrate and honor the accomplishments of the 2017-2018 All-Area high school student athletes at the annual Best of Varsity Cup Awards at the Bayfront Convention Center in Erie, PA. The awards banquet is a way of saying thank you to the thousands of outstanding high school athletes, coaches and fans who allow Erie Times-News (GoErie.com) to share their stories, performances and passions.  As a presenting sponsor for the event, Logistics Plus had a number of employees present, as well as our special guests from the Barber National Institute. We had the additional honor of presenting Fairview’s Liam Finnecy with the Comeback Player of the Year Award in recognition of his amazing story. The evening included a nice dinner, awards ceremony, and presentation by Pittsburgh Steelers great, Hines Ward.  The following video message from Jim Berlin, founder and CEO of Logistics Plus, was shown at the beginning of the ceremony. Additional photographs from the Logistics Plus Flickr Album are also included below.

LP Employees in Lake Erie Cyclefest’s Super Mario Indoor Bike Race

LEC-Super-Mario-Indoor-BikeWe hope you’re free next Monday evening, May 7, to join LP employees Tim Scharf, Ryan McGregor, Kelly Dempsey, and Owen Rader (Holly‘s husband) at the Brewerie for the city’s first-ever indoor bicycle race. They’ll be racing against world-class cyclist Mario Mazza – seriously don’t ask how they got roped into this one – but they really need a cheering section. The night will be a lot of fun and everyone there will have a chance to win two passes to Buffalo’s Skyride with an overnight stay at the Westin Hotel.

This is not a fundraiser – it’s a happy hour for good friends to get together, enjoy some craft beer and build awareness for Lake Erie Cyclefest.
