Logistics Plus selected as a member of the new IFLN Global Projects network
Logistics Plus will provide project forwarding services in Mexico and USA as part of the membership
ERIE, PA (September 18, 2017) – Logistics Plus Inc., a leading worldwide provider of transportation, logistics, and supply chain solutions, is proud to announce it has been selected to be an inaugural member of the new IFLN Global Projects network, representing Houston, Mexico City, New York City, and Monterrey. The new network was officially announced on September 13, 2017 by Michel Vanlerberghe, president of the International Freight Logistics Network (IFLN).
“There are other project cargo networks out there, but this one is different,” says Randy Durham, IFLN’s general manager, and a long-time project cargo specialist. “IFLN Global Projects network only accepts as members those who are highly proficient project forwarders. We want to be the new force in the world of project logistics management.”
Only cargo agents with experience and a high degree of capability in the field of project forwarding will form part of the rapidly expanding group. IFLN Global Projects network can put together a team of highly specialized global project members to support any bid or any project cargo shipping task. IFLN will also make the necessary introductions, coordinate member efforts, and liaise with the customer if needed.

Governor Wolf Announces Logistics Plus, Inc. to Expand and Create 44 New Jobs in the City of Erie
HARRISBURG, Pa. (July 15, 2017) – Today, Governor Tom Wolf announced that Logistics Plus, Inc., a worldwide supply chain management company, will expand its headquarters in the City of Erie, and will create 44 new jobs.
“This expansion in the heart of the City of Erie will bring 44 family-sustaining jobs to a location in the center of the city’s downtown,” said Governor Wolf. “My administration has worked closely with Erie to support its growing business climate and this expansion project is another great investment for the region.”
The expanded facility will allow for the handling of all logistics for clients, from order intake to shipping and installation. Logistics Plus has committed to investing at least $1.2 million into the project, which will create 44 new, full-time jobs and retain 123 more positions statewide.
“It’s very gratifying to be able to create good-paying, fun and interesting jobs with a growing, cutting-edge global company right here in Erie, Pennsylvania,” said Jim Berlin, founder and CEO of Logistics Plus. “Keeping talented people in the Erie area is good for the community and for the local economy.”
Logistics Plus, Inc. received a funding proposal from the Department of Community and Economic Development for $88,000 in Job Creation Tax Credits to be issued after the new jobs are created. The company has also been encouraged to apply for a $2 million low-interest loan from the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority.
The project was coordinated by the Governor’s Action Team, an experienced group of economic development professionals who report directly to the governor and work with businesses that are considering locating or expanding in Pennsylvania, with the assistance of the City of Erie’s Department of Economic and Community Development.

Cargo project involving the safe delivery of 200-ton stator from Poland to Turkey earns award for second consecutive year
ERIE, Pa. Logistics Plus Takes First Place in the Breakbulk “Into the Wild” Photo Contest
Photo was displayed at Breakbulk Europe 2017 conference and in Breakbulk magazine.
ERIE, PA (May 5, 2017) – Logistics Plus Inc., a leading worldwide provider of transportation, logistics and supply chain solutions, is proud to announce it was awarded first place in the 2017 Breakbulk “Into the Wild” Photo Contest. Logistics Plus was presented with the award at the Breakbulk Europe 2017 conference which took place April 24-26 in Antwerp, Belgium.
The winning photograph, taken and submitted by the Logistics Plus Turkey division, was entitled “Winter Is Coming” and depicts a unique perspective of a steep tank being ocean transported. The cargo was being shipped from Istanbul to a factory in Orhangazi, Turkey. Due to snowy conditions and other factors, the cargo was uniquely transported on a modified car ferry.
Six times a year, Breakbulk hosts themed photo and video contests around a particular aspect of moving breakbulk and project cargo. The contests are open to all industry participants. Winners are selected by visitors to the website, so all participating companies are encouraged to get out the vote among their employees and friends. “The project cargo in this photo was an adventure and another example of our passion for excellence,” said Bahadir Erdil, Global Projects Director for Logistics Plus. “We drove through the heavy snow until the nearest shipyard to find an available ferry. There was no available barges on those dates so, as a solution, we found a car carrier ferry and cut some parts off the ferry to create a safe loading and discharging operation. We are thankful to Breakbulk and its constituency for recognizing our photo in this year’s contest.”
